Tackling health inequalities in the North East and Cumbria
So far, £7.6 million has been raised through The Health Lottery in the North East and Cumbria.
Thanks to this money, 200 local projects have been funded by People’s Health Trust since 2011.
Health Lottery North East and Cumbria raises money to help reduce health inequalities across its area. It does this by promoting its own regional lottery and working collaboratively with independent charity, People's Health Trust, to develop local interventions.
We donate the good causes funds we raise to People's Health Trust, who invest these in communities wishing to make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.
Thanks to money raised so far, projects such as Carlisle Community Choir, HOPS (Healing Opportunities Provision Scheme) and Pennywell Youth Project all received much-needed support.
Health Lottery North East and Cumbria has its draws on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout March. Click here to play The Health Lottery.
